My honest 2 year keto weight-loss update

My honest 2 year keto weight-loss update

Hi everyone,

I haven’t done an update in a while.. I have officially been doing the keto diet now for 2 years and it’s been quite the journey. Over this period of time I have lost 33 kilos and im really proud of myself.

About 8-10 weeks after my 9th child was born, I was an unhealthy 107 kilos and I knew I had to start looking after my health so that I could be the best version of me, not only for myself, but for my family too.

I can tell you straight up that when you first start keto it’s really really hard but it’s also really worth it too. You just have to stick with it! Don’t give up! 💪

As a mum of 9 under 13 this has been the only diet that has worked for me and I’ve seen huge result’s! My life has completely changed because of it!

Over the last 2 years my whole mindset on food has completely changed which I’m truly thankful for. One of the great things about keto is that there is so many yummy and low carb alternatives to the foods your already eating. You just need to get creative! You can do drive so much resources and recipes online too.

In terms of exercise, I try to run 3x a week but I’m also considering doing some weight training too.

Now if I’m honest, in the last year I haven’t lost any more weight, if anything, I fluctuate between 75 -80 kilos. Maybe it’s because I’m not as strict as I used to be? – However, I still need to lose at least another 10 kilos to reach my weightless goal. I’m still on my journey and I hope to have reached my weightloss goal by September. I know I can do it, I just have to keep pushing through.

Thankyou for your ongoing support over the last 2 years!

Body shaming- Are you guilty of it?

Body shaming- Are you guilty of it?

.
Hi everyone,

Body shaming can happen in many forms but it is never acceptable in any circumstance and never will be! But have we all been guilty of it at some point in our lives?

I have been body shamed over the years. I  remember the first incident happened when I was about 11 years old! I was just a child! I’ve been called too fat, obese, boobless or even too small especially since my recent weight-loss.

I have never called anyone too fat or too thin and I never would! “But… and I want to be completely honest here and say that I once asked a woman when her baby was due thinking she was pregnant but of course she wasn’t pregnant and I instantly apologized and felt so terrible about it. I can only imagine how horrible she must have felt when I said that. I should have never assumed.😭

Not long after that incident I had a taste of my own medicine when someone asked me if I was pregnant!  I know ‘I have had a lot of babies’ but in that particular moment I wasn’t pregnant and I remember feeling so awful about myself as she eyed me up and down! I think I must have been standing funny too. She even said after  “Oh sorry but I can see a belly on you!  Some people don’t know when to stop do they?!

After having 9 children I was an unhealthy 107 Kg but I’ve worked really hard over the last 2 years on my health and well-being and I’ve lost 33 kilos, however, my weight does fluctuate a bit. I’m still on my weight-loss  journey and I’m working really hard to lose more weight. I know myself that I need to lose a few more kilos but others just assume I’m too small, I can assure you that although I’ve lost a lot, I am by no means small and I’m still not happy with the way I am and who knows if I ever will be happy! I think as a woman we always feel insecure about something and that will never change.I am proud of what I have achieved so far but I question myself daily if i’m happy with my progress…

We should ALWAYS be careful of what we say to others as we can never truly know what the other person is going through. We are all on our own unique life journeys.

Remember you are worthy, beautiful and unique

Please remember to be kind always

The world is in such turmoil right now so lets stick together and build each other up

We are 2 today! – Celebrating my 2 year blog anniversary

We are 2 today! – Celebrating my 2 year blog anniversary

Hi everyone,

Today my blog ‘thistribeofmine.com‘ and my instagram turns 2! Where did the time go? I’ve been blogging for 2 whole years and it has been so amazing! I couldn’t of done it without your love and support though, so Thank-you so much! 🥰

I originally started my blog on godaddy.com at the beginning of June 2018 but I then merged over to WordPress.com in September 2018.. so some might say “Hey you started in September! but nope, we’ve been going since June 2018 🙌

I originally started my blog to document my weightloss journey on the keto diet but after some media attention on the size of my family it turned into so much more and I started blogging about our busy but fun lives as a Family of 11.

It’s been a blast! There have been some highs and some lows but I wouldn’t change any if it! You learn something new every day! I really enjoy writing and sharing my life with you all.

I have had some amazing opportunities along the way and have made some awesome freinds for life. I’m really enjoying this whole experience.

I love keeping my blog real and honest and fun! I’m looking forward to seeing what the next 2 years brings! 🙌

You are all so awesome

Thanks for sticking with me and supporting me

Love Claire and her tribe 🥰 xxx

V-Comb A1 – Reveiw

V-Comb A1 – Reveiw

Hi everyone,

Today I want to talk to you about the v-comb A1 device that can and will eliminate head lice and eggs without mess, fuss or any harsh chemicals. It’s just one simple head-lice eliminating device that will do it all for you! How awesome is that!

As a busy mum of nine under thirteen years of age and lot’s and lot’s and lot’s of hair in our busy household, it is paramount for me to stay in control of any head-lice outbreaks that may happen in our family.

The V-Comb A1 is a revolutionary head-lice device that incorporates both a combing and vacuum suction function to effectively eliminate traces of head lice and eggs from all hair types without creating a mess. So no more expensive messy lotions and potions to get rid of lice when you can use the V-comb A1 device! It detects head-lice and eggs and uses no chemicals when doing so.

Here are some facts about the V-Comb A1 ;

  • It does not use harmful chemical- or pesticide-based ingredients
  • It does not require a lot of messy steps (e.g. washing and rinsing)
  • There are no side effects (only uses regular combing and suction power)

 V-Comb A1 Benefits

• A great investment option as it can be used on more than one person as many times as needed, especially against reoccurring head lice infestations which is awesome for the whole family.
• Effective at combating “SUPER LICE” which are mutated head lice and have formed a resistance to chemicals that are most commonly found in head lice shampoos and lotions.

The electric comb is available in 2 options:

1. – V-comb A1 – Cordless and  rechargeable and can be used anywhere, anytime

2 V-comb Supra – has a cord and will need to be plugged into a wall socket

You can find the V-comb A1 in Amcal, Chemist outlet, Guardian, Priceline, Simply pharmacy, your discount chemist and local pharmacies.

What my family and I love about the V-Comb A1

My family and I love V-Comb A1 because it can be used anywhere, anytime, without any fuss or stress! There are no messy or smelly chemicals required when using the comb. It glides through the hair with precision and ease. I highly recommend purchasing the V-Comb A1 to use for your whole family.
