“I AM A MUM OF 9 AND I HAVE NEVER BREASTFED MY CHILDREN”.
Yes, that’s right! You heard me. “I am a mum of nine children and I have never breastfed my children”. That’s not to say I didn’t attempt to with my first 2-3 children because I tried really hard but unfortunately it didn’t work out! And I did suffer from mum guilt. You might be wondering why I am bringing this up today? Well… it’s because I am sick and tired of seeing other women tearing other women down for their choices! You should never shame another mama for her choices ever! Especially when it comes to her children. And not only that. You don’t know what secret battles they could be facing in their life! As a parent, it is your right to do what’s best for your child. Why other people think they can judge that is beyond me! So yes I have never breastfed my children, but I did try and when it didn’t work out I was incredibly upset. All nine of my children are thriving and are full of life! And that is the most important thing to me!
I once saw a doctor who said; “yes there are guidelines to follow, but you as the mother know what’s best for your child and you will know when your child is ready for solids etc.
Do what’s right for you and your family but please don’t judge others for the choices they make for their family because it’s really none of your business! Support one another and be kind always
As you all know by now, I am a mum of nine children under eleven and we also officially home-school six out of our nine children. As a registered home school under the N.E.S.A, we are eligible to participate in the Woolworth’s earn learn program which is super exciting!. We participated in last years program and collected a significant amount of stickers and were able to get a few small supplies for our school. This year we aim to go bigger and do better than last year. We hope you can help us achieve this too! let’s all stick together!
This year our school has been given an earn and learn promotions pack which also includes a huge collection box to place in our local Woolworths store! We are super excited!
In 2017, when Woolworths last ran Earn & Learn, they had over 15,000 schools and ELC’s involved and delivered over 300,000 pieces of equipment for science and technology, maths, arts, and more to kids all over Australia. How awesome is that!
Please support our home-school by collecting stickers at Woolworths from May 1st till June 25th! We will have a collection box in the Queanbeyan Woolworths store.
I wanted to have a honest chat with you all about something that has been on my mind. Over the last few weeks I haven’t felt myself on social media. I feel like something has shifted within me.
Don’t get me me wrong! I love what I do and will continue to push through what I’m feeling because that’s the type of person I am. I have so much to look forward to as well which also helps to keep me going. None of these exciting ventures would have been possible without my awesome following and determination to keep going and consistency. I’ve just pushed through the highs and the lows, I , however am only human and have my down days. I, however, feel there is something not quite right with social media at the moment.
I feel like you work so hard on all the content you put out there and sometimes you feel like no one is there! I am sure that’s not true but it definitely can feel like that from time to time.
Is it just me? Or has it become really quite on social media lately? I feel like I am not seeing everyone’s posts and sometimes it even feels like that certain stuff is getting blocked deliberately. I’ve seen many people *including big blogger accounts* say that the lack of engagement has affected their accounts also Has the algorithm changed? Are you seeing everyone’s posts? Are you seeing my posts? Do you feel there is less engagement lately? Do you use hashtags? Or do you find it better not to use them? I am not sure what’s happened but it’s definitely gone a little quiet 😖 I am going to continue doing what I do because I am truly passionate about my blog and the journey I’ve been on so far, but I have to admit I do feel pretty low at the moment. Things can only get better right? Onwards and upwards from here!
For those of you who continue to support me and my blog etc, I thank you dearly. It means so much to me. You make my journey I’m on so much more worthwhile. I can’t wait to talk about my next ventures with you all.
I want to to talk to you all today about some eBooks I wrote a couple of years ago
Around two years ago I wrote two digital books through KDP for Amazon. It was something I had wanted to do for a while but wasn’t sure I was capable of doing such a thing! Eventually, I plucked up the courage and I wrote my first books!
I decided to start a children’s book series called Finley’s adventures. I only wrote two books but had planned to write more, Life got busy and I guess I had forgotten about it all.
My confidence was also knocked when I received a negative comment about the grammar on one of the books. I think If were to write more digital books now I would take my time on them. When I wrote the eBooks I was so excited and just wanted to get them out there. I realize now that if you want something to do well then you need to take your time on it. I still think that what I wrote was pretty good and I am still proud of myself for writing them. I do want to write more books in the future and I’ve taken this experience as a learning curve! My writing has improved so much over the last 12 months since starting this blog. I am excited for the future and seeing where my writing will take me next! You can find my amazon books on the links below.
Today I have some exciting news to share with you all and if you are already following me on all my socials then you may already know what I am talking about!

My channel will have a variety of videos on there which will include vlogs, tips, tricks, advice, hauls, tutorials, reviews, collaborations. I will also be talking about what life is like as a family of 11. I will be keeping it real, raw and honest for you all. I am very excited for this new chapter and I hope you will all follow along this exciting journey with me.
I wanted to talk to you all today about family photos and capturing all the special memories which I know you will cherish for many years to come. I love sitting down with my family and looking through all our photo memories together. Every photo you take has a story to tell and we are always talking about them in our house.
As you all know, I am a busy mum of nine children and I am constantly taking photos of my children. Our children grow so fast and so I try to capture every special moment or silly little thing they do on camera! Call me crazy if you like! but it’s so awesome to look back on!

Metal street sign
I absolutely loved creating this personalized metal street sign. I used the websites easy to use online designer. It only took me 10 minutes to make! There was so many colors and text options to chose from. I was very careful with what I chose as our surname could be used in the wrong context. This street sign will proudly be hung on our deck. I was super excited to create this canvas because I’ve never created one before but have always admired them. I recently took this photo of all of my children’s feet and i just knew it would look so great on the canvas! This canvas again, was super easy to create using the websites online designer creator software. It did not take long to create at all. I am so happy with how it turned out. It is already hanging on our living room wall. You can create yours here: https://www.photobookshop.com.au/custom/themes?category=Home%20Decor&productcategory=Canvas

Hey everyone, I want to talk to you about something personal I feel quite nervous though but here goes:
I don’t talk about this much publicly, but it is a HUGE part of my everyday life! I am a Catholic and I am proud of it! I love my beautiful faith! We are raising our children Catholic also. We feel this is the right choice for our family.
I haven’t always been a Catholic, nor was I bought up religiously and In-fact I was baptized in the church of England as a baby
I actually became a Catholic eight years ago. Yes, I did marry into a Catholic family but it took me another four years after that to make my final decision to convert. I researched and studied so much before I decided what I wanted to do. I realized I already had faith within me, I just didn’t understand it or know how to use it.
The beautiful thing about faith is that you learn something new every day. I am so glad to have made that decision to become Catholic because my life feels so much better with God in it. Call me a ‘bible basher’ all you want it honestly doesn’t bother me and it actually reminds me that I should read the bible more than I do 🙈
I understand that not everyone is religious, and that’s fine. I respect and love everyone. I am still human and make mistakes every day. I am by no means perfect. I am still the same old bubbly & clumsy Claire everyone knows and loves!
I am just opening up more and giving you a bit more of an insight to my life. I, of course, do not condone the terrible things that have happened within the church. The priests/people who have committed these crimes will have to answer to God! I pray for peace and people every day. Prayer is so powerful and I will continue to do it for the rest of my life 🙏 I am not ashamed to say that I have faith.🙌
I will always stay true to what I believe and I will always be honest and real with everyone who follows me.
Are you religious? If so what is your faith Let me know in the comments . God Bless
You probably won’t listen to the advice below as I know from experience how stubborn you can be! But here goes;
Don’t grow up too fast and don’t get mixed up with the wrong crowd, I know you just want to look cool and fit in but honestly hun it’s not worth it! Just be yourself! Growing up in South East England is hard! Trust me I know!
You have a heart of gold and please don’t let anyone take advantage of that!
You will eventually find out who your true friends are! It will hit you like a ton of bricks but it’s better to know the truth right?!
Don’t let those horrible school bullies win, I know it’s easier said than done, but believe me, they are only doing it because they have issues themselves or because they think it makes them look ‘well hard’ But in reality, they just look plain stupid!
I know you have been bullied for a long time and the teachers don’t care! And I know it’s upsetting! But please don’t cry! Be brave and hold your head up high and walk away. You are worth so much more than they will ever be!
I see a bright and exciting future for you. Just keep looking ahead!
Stay away from those rowdy stinky teenage boys they will only break your heart time and time again! Don’t waste your precious tears on them! One day you will meet the love of your life 🤗
Claire when you are at school I don’t want to hear any more of “I can’t do it” because I know you can! You are smart and have a great imagination! Believe in yourself because you will and can do great things!
“Don’t blow dry your fringe like that babe! because it looks like a tunnel! Is that really the fashion? 90’s trend is a strange one for sure!
Hug your family more and tell them you love them because you don’t know what’s around the corner.
Life’s to short to be miserable and hold grudges. Forgive and forget and then you will feel a peace within you.
Claire be confident and smile more. Let that amazing personality of yours shine. You are WORTHY and unique. You have your whole life ahead of you! Be kind to yourself and learn to love yourself more. Stay strong and keep going, hun!
Today I am talking about a highly requested subject; ‘HOMESCHOOLING!
If I am honest then it’s not something I have felt comfortable talking about before and that’s not because I am ashamed of it! I think it’s more that it’s about our private life and while I love sharing about my family and I, there are obviously certain aspects we wish to keep private. The other reason is for the pure fact that for some reason homeschooling can be a sticky subject! Today I am opening up and sharing a little bit of our homeschooling journey with you all. The reason I am sharing this today is that I have been asked by many of my readers to share what it is like to homeschool and because they are interested in homeschooling too but don’t know where to start. So if I can help in any way then I am happy to do so.
For the last four and a half years we have chosen to home school our children. It was not an easy decision but my husband and I felt it was the best decision for our busy family. My family and I live in a rural town in regional New south wales, I guess you could say we live in isolation! The closest shops and mainstream schools are over 45 kilometres away! We do have a small school in our town that we have used in the past but still felt that homeschooling was the way forward and more manageable for our family. Before we made our decision about home-schooling, we made sure we did do our research to see if it was the right option for us. It’s always best to have a good plan in place before you start something as huge as this.
A lot of people say home-schooling is hard! Well, they are not wrong! You are going to have your good days and bad days, However, it gets better over time and eventually, you will adjust in your schooling routine. You have just have to stick to it out and give it a good go! It took me a good year before I felt comfortable and established in what I was doing. There are so many resources available online that can assist you with your schooling and honestly, you are easily spoiled for choice! Google is your friend!
People seem to think that because our children are home-schooled that they don’t socialize or make friends! This, however, is not true, we attend to sporting activities outside of school hours. Our children also play with other children. My children are very sociable and can easily make friends without any issues. Many people also have said to me that they are not ‘patient enough to home educate their children or they feel they are not ‘smart enough to teach them! And I say; “You should never put yourself down” and while I understand that homeschooling is not always the best option for everyone due to work commitments etc..I am a firm believer that anyone can do it if they put their minds to it! So never say you can’t do it because you can! Believe in yourself and your ability to do so! At first, I doubted myself but that feeling soon passed when I saw how happy the children were, and how much progress they were making with their work, then that made realize I was doing something right. I have honestly learnt so much over the years! it’s actually incredible! My kids amaze me every day! I am officially schooling six out of my nine children which range from kindergarten to year five. My younger ones also like to sit and learn as well which gives them a great head-start for when it’s their time to start school! Its always good to get everyone involved! The kids love that!
In New South Wales by law, your children have to be enrolled in school from the ages of 6 up until the age of 16. We are officially enrolled under N.E.S.A We have a CSIRO that comes out to our home and assesses us every 2 years to make sure everything is up to scratch. We follow the New South Wales syllabus and we do a mix of Australian and an American curriculum but still making sure we cover what the syllabus asks. We use a few online programs for children like readingeggs.com.au and studyladder.com.au.
We start our schooling day at 8.45am and work all the way through till 1.30pm. By doing this we get all of our daily subjects done and have the afternoon free for our lunch, outdoor play/ sports, and housework. The children are then free to do arts and crafts, puzzles, games etc.. This time-frame works well for us and can easily be adjusted if need be.
What I love most about home-schooling my children is being able to spend one on one time with my children teaching them and watching them grow! I love watching them learn new and exciting things every day. It honestly brings me so much joy! I also love that we get to go on our own school excursions! Over the last few years, we have been on some great excursions! The last couple of years I have been using the ‘National Capital Teachers Pass’ which has been absolutely amazing! It can be used for the Science museum, National library, Cockington green and so much more! It even gives you access to so many useful and historical resources! if you are a home-school family in New south wales then check this link here to see if you are eligible for the teachers pass; https://canberraexcursions.org.au/national-capital-teachers-pass
Home-schooling is hard but it’s not as hard as you think! There are so many online groups especially on Facebook that you can join for additional support, ideas and advice. It is also a great way to connect with other families who could be homeschooling in the same area as you and it’s also great to have a supportive online community if there is no one else in your area that home-schools. Don’t ever feel alone in this process and always ask for help if you need it!
